One of my concepts for my pony OC Bright Idea was that she would eventually get her hooves on some basic books of magic theory and try to use crystal artifacts to replicate what she read.
All I can imagine is some wierd pony customs, with an earth pony being stopped for being suspicious do to the colossal amount of artifacts he's carrying on his person.
