Parents just never have been a part of this show, that's something you just have to get over.

I can agree to disagree with the rest especially since that was my reaction to "One Bad Apple", the whole bullying segment was very boring outside of the song, the moral was something somewhat disagreeable, ...and right when they started to talk about the spread of the CMC's in Manehatten, ...it just ended.

In fact every episode in the whole damn season except "TMPP" and this one seem to leave a little too much open.

But the parents thing should just be a non-issue.

It's not incomplete episodes :V It's all full of sequel hooks

It's not a big deal... but it is something the fanbase is obviously very interested in seeing. The odd thing about Scootaloo is that both Applebloom and Sweetie Belle very often have their familial relationships stressed and the show regularly compares this to Scootaloo's lack of the same. It raises questions, and we fans are a voracious bunch for answers.

I'm not gonna be particularly upset if they don't ever get answered though.

Do you think the sequel hooks are all going to come back during the season finale? I'm not sure about the others, but the stuff from the premiere almost certainly will.

I hope this means the next episode will be A+ worthy, every episode since the somewhat appropriately named when comes to quality, "One Bad Apple" has gotten better and better.

And I'll be darned if we haven't waited forever for a good Wonderbolts episode, ...probably longer than a good Scootaloo episode actually.

While it would have been nice to see a cameo of Scootaloo's family (did we really need that scene of Sweetie Belle asking Rarity to come?), I think its important to remember this is the first truly Scootaloo centric episode, and her thing since Season 1 has been "Mini-Rainbow Dash". Its probably more important to address her relationship with Rainbow Dash in her first focus episode than do any sort of world building/family explaining. And its pretty clear that RD is going to start teaching Scootaloo how to fly anyways, or at least do more "carry you around everywhere".

@Blue: I can kinda see what you're talking about, although I don't think it's quite as bad as you do. I kinda felt like it spent too much time setting up the "we're going on a camping trip!" plot when they could have just started the episode at the campsite and not really lost much. It was like they were going out of their way to explain how the camping trip came about, which wasn't really necessary and took away time that could have been better used to develop Scoots and Rainbow Dash.

Like, I would have been fine with the cold opening being AJ, Rarity, Sweetie, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo walking up to the camp.
