I don't really see the point in trying to seek out memes. I just enjoy the show for what it is. Ponies. Also dragon.

Responsible so far as she allowed herself to become Nightmare Moon. I still say someone or something made a Faustian Bargain with her, promising the ponies would spend more time doing things at night or giving Luna the chance to be more powerful than Celestia or something along those lines.

A few pages/five minutes ago: Cheerilee was mentioned by Pinkie when she was listing off where they got all the candy from. Actually, if you only watched the show and never looked up any supplimental material you'd have no way of knowing that "Cheerilee" is the teacher pony.

Maybe, though it's kinda feeling like a case of First Installment Wins. Here's betting people will still remember "20% cooler" when "the fun has been doubled" has been doubly forgotten.

I guess it's no big deal, but it just feels like it could've been so much fun.

On the other hand, it means Discord has gotten pushed out of the limelight too, so I guess there's a silver lining for everything.

EDIT: And yes, I do want pony avatars.

I think its better that the memes only last a week or two now, instead of getting played out. Honestly, some of the stuff from the first season getting repeated ad nauseum have gotten really old by this point.

Yeah, that second line was really sad, whatever her tone of voice with it...

That, or she just called on magic that was too much for her, in a bid to be greater then Celestia, and it corrupted her in the process.

The way Luna talks about her behavior seems to give me the impression that all "royals" used to act that way.

It kind of makes it seem like Celestia's current personality is a very recent development. Maybe she acted similar to Luna way back when.

Would explain why everyone is flipping terrified of displeasing Celestia.

Maybe everypony talked like that back then. Not the "royal we" thing, but the thou's and foresooth's and all that jazz. It was a thousand years ago, things change.

I like to think that losing her sister made Celestia start hanging out with regular ponies more, and she started to adopt less formal speech.

She turned back during the summer solstice. Which is in June.

If we assume that Season 2 takes place after Season 1, roughly, then we've seen Fall and, more importantly, Spring arrive since her return to normalcy.

If we assume that Nightmare Night takes place in their equivalent of October (to make it as much like Halloween as possible)... that means that Luna's been back for over a year now.

I wonder why it's taken her this long to figure out that capslock Sonorus The Traditional Canterlot Royal Speaking Voice isn't really in use anymore, among other things? Or why she didn't try this bid during the previous Nightmare Night?

That wasn't Lyra, Lyra's not a pegasus nor does she have blonde hair (which Cleopatra pony had under the wig). Lyra was the mummy pony and briefly had her Over a Barrel bonnet :P... but that reminds me, Cleopatra pegasus had a Palette Swap of Firefly's cutie mark! Double lightning bolts! Intriguing...
