I love AJ poking holes in RD's story.
I honestly didn't like this episode much at all. The plot was predictable, Dash was an unlikable Mary Sue (and her claim of being scared as a filly didn't help), Luna felt shoehorned in, nothing really scared me save for that one Scoots face (and it still was too tame for me), and it just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Especially Rarity.

How was Rainbow a Mary Sue?

Remember that we saw the episode from Scoot's POV more or less. OF COURSE she's gonna paint Dashie in a better light than normal :P
Aren't ALL Pony episodes predictable?
@Pan No, I'm serious

I can kinda understand the bits about Luna, but I really don't see how RD is a Mary Sue. Like, at all.
Yeah, predictability is never something I fault the show for. Rarity I get.
I felt Rainbow was a Mary Sue because there was nothing that portrayed her in a negative light throughout the story.

You mean the fact that she was as brash and uncaring as usual for the majority of the episode wasn't enough?
@ Gex: Apart from completely ignoring Scootaloo's blatant terror?

AJ was putting holes in her story...

@Apple: Obviously it's a combination of knowing martial arts, hanging around AJ, and her momentum. Also I wouldn't put it past her to target dead and brittle trees, all the easier to kick apart.
Luna likes to wink at the end of episodes.
