Is there an official statement from Equestria Daily about the ban on Sonic the Hedgehog-related content? I've been hearing about that ban, but I've never seen an official statement about that?

And if there's no official statement that exists, what's the story behind that ban, anyway?

1.) Favourite Pony? Rainbow Dash of course.

2.) Favourite Episode? Magic Duel. If we allow for 2 parters then Cantelot Wedding.

3.) What do you think of Pinkie? I used to just find her annoying, learned to like her some of the time but still generally disliked, learned to finally like her most of the time. She's still my least favorite of the mane cast but I do like her.

4.) Favourite Background Pony? Lyra, mostly just because of her character design. And I like how excited and happy she always seems. Not a fan of the "human/hands crazy" fanon though.

5.) Would you hug the Great And Powerful Trixie? Yeah, if she's up for it. I would never pass up an opportunity to hug an adorable animal and (these) ponies are as adorable as it gets.

6.) Favourite Wood? Where the hell did this question even come from? Birch.

7.) Best crazy pony moment. I really liked Discorded Fluttershy, if that counts.

@Waxing: Well, I've never heard of that ban, but I guess there's enough drama to deal with without adding Sonic into the mix.

@Waxing: I'm not sure if there's an official ban or not, but the gist of it is that pretty much all the pony/Sonic crossover stuff that got submitted was terrible, so it pretty much gets shot down on sight unless it's Da Vinci quality artwork.

That, and because a lot of bronys seem to compleatly despise anything involving Sonic The Hedgehog, for some reason.

Probably because the Sonic fandom doesn't exactly have the most awesome reputation, and they don't want to be lumped in with them.

Also, I decided to take my DVD on a test run, so I watched "Green Isn't Your Color". Totally worth the money.

No, it's just that the Sonic fandom's average age is about half that of this fandom's, and therefore the average quality of it's output is appropriately lower.

Now you're making me think of the Gotcha Egghead thing.

Also, why would the bronies out of all fandoms fear the Sonic fandom when most other fandoms don't?

@Waxing I'm not sure where you've been, but the Sonic fandom at large has one of the worst reputations out of any fandom I can think of. It's not just this one.

@Waxing: As a Sonic fan I'd say because we don't want to get sucked into their drama :V

I know of the Sonic fandom's awful reputation, but (especially on Ponibooru before its closure) the pony fandom seems to take it farther than any other fandom, especially with how crossover-happy they seem to be.

I've heard terrible things about the Sonic fandom long before Fi M.

But the Sonic fandom causing another fandom to hate everything Sonic is something else.

To a degree it's not entirely hatred of Sonic (most bronies are probably indifferent to the franchise than anything else) so much as not wanting to cross the streams when it comes to the fanworks. There are good Sonic pictures in the fandom; the problem is that the Sonic fandom's previous reputation means that when you mention a Sonic/MLP crossover, the first thing everyone thinks of is stuff like this (SFW, but you probably don't want to see it.

Obviously, not all Sonic fans are like that (I personally know like three people who are into both MLP and Sonic, and they're all great guys), it's just that the Sonic fandom has always had a nasty reputation, and bronies often get a little too adamant about keeping it away.

Well it seemed like it was mostly plot summary. I guess it's fine if that's the style you want your liveblog to be, but it isn't nearly as funny as seeing Pannic rage.

well not really much to go on about yet. unlike him I don't hate it just because it's not the type of story I like. And nothing really to get emotional about yet.

1. Favorite pony? Twilight Sparkle

2. Favorite background pony? Canon: I really like Cloudchaser's mane. Headcanon: Ditzy Doo, she of the True Sight.

3. Favorite episode? "It's About Time."

4. What do you think of Pinkie? Fun.

5. Would you hug the Great and Powerful Trixie? Only if she didn't want me to.

6. Favorite wood? "Don't Go In The..."

7. Best crazy pony moment? "Lesson Zero", when Twilight tries to invoke the Apple of Discord with the Smarty Pants doll. It's endearing that, even in the midst of losing her sanity, Twi is still enough of a geek to thinks that "She comes with her own notebook so you can pretend she's doing homework!" is a selling point.

Favourite pony? Twilight, followed by Fluttershy.

Favourite background pony? Lyra. I love how excited she usually is. Followed by Golden "Carrot Top" Harvest. Unless Photo Finish counts as a background pony.

Favourite episode? A Canterlot Wedding, followed by Hurricane Fluttershy, followed by Lesson Zero.

What do I think of Pinkie? I used to have a really low opinion of her, but she's grown on me. Still my least favourite of the mane 6.
