All the magic was retconned. In Season 1 + ROH, it was either purple (for Twilight) or light blue (for everypone else). Starting in season 2, the magic is lots of different colors, and they tend to be brighter too. I remember paying particular attention to the color of Twiligt's magic due to the game I was working on. I guess that's one thing I'd have to change if I ever go back and expand it.

Yeah... one thing Applejack has to deal with is her pride. She's all about helping other people, but the thought of not being able to do something that she's expected to be able to do (even if she's the only one expecting it) doesn't sit well with her - see 'Applebuck Season', 'The Last Roundup', etc. That translates to the family as a whole, generally speaking - having to be bought out by Applejack's friends would save the farm, keep the family in Ponyville and probably change nothing at all, but the Apples themselves would probably see it as a failure, because they couldn't do it themselves.

Let's hope that teaches them not to make rash business decisions, then.

@Red: Actually, I don't know if they'd all respond like that. Big Macintosh seems stable enough that he'd get over it fairly quickly, and Granny Smith and Apple Bloom don't feel like the types to stress over it. AJ would definitely feel like she let her family down, though.

@Teeth: Well, I think Granny could go either way. Either she'd be alright with it, or she'd be on the porch in her rocker with her pot-helmet on and a shotgun in her hooves. XD

imo, you really have to have played most of the Fallout games to appreciate it. It's much better read as a fan of fallout than a fan of mlp.

Never played the games (all I have is a Wii) but I do love post apocalyptic stuff. Especially really dark post apocalyptic stuff.

and if you do have a computer, Fallout 1 & 2 are available on GoG for only $10 each, so get them already!

Really though, if you love dark post apocalyptic stuff, then yeah, you'll probably like Fo E. Even though you'll be missing out on a lot or references, having never played the games.

And now I'm going to grumble something about how I really don't like Fallout Equestria.

I have a computer but it's barely holding together. Really, it comes down to money. I got no job and no money. I fully intend to play the games one day but for now...
