@Kegisak and Perpetual: This is why I came up with my "ponies have inherent magic resistance"; it explains why transformation spells on them are so much tougher than on other animals and inanimate objects.

As for the bird-orange thing, I attribute it to being that the spell was attempting to transform something that it wasn't designed to transform. It was supposed to act on an apple, but didn't.

And also, I do assume most spells are limited-duration unless otherwise specified.

Thanks again keg. I can't thank you enough for telling me about Dwarf Bread. waii

I guess the FIM version could be called 'Boulder Bread' or something similar.

Trixie never mentioned the other other place she went to earn bits

I knew she didn't earn all that money on a rock farm. tongue

The Wizzard and the Pony. Still a work in progress, but it beautifully blends the flavor of the Disc and ponies together with a historic twist.

that, would be kind of cute if it was an awkward, unstable foal just learning how to walk....while Celestai messed with the planet's gravity,

I highly recommend the Guards and Death series. And wizards. Witches I'm ambivalent towards, honestly. The one-shots are always good too, in particular Monstrous Regiment.

You somehow forgot Moist Von Lipwig.

Oh, the thread? Don't worry, it's just dead.

If I tried listing off all of the good ones, we'd be here all night. I just went for my favourite.

Besides, now that Moist has two books he longer qualifies as a oneshot, and while both his books are good they're not quite as good as The Guards and Death.

Personally I'd rate Going Postal above most of the Guards and Death books. But Guards! Guards! is still one of the best. Actually my favorite is Interesting times.

The first Discworld book that I read was the Wee Free Men, but I didn't like that one. Thief of Time, however, was a lot funnier.

Wee Free Men was more of a kids book, so it didn't have quite the same bite to it as the rest tend to, yeah.

I take what I can find over here, and what I've managed to find is Pyramids, the Wee Free Men, Men at Arms, Sourcery, and Equal Rites.

I picked up as many of the Discworld books as my pay could afford while I had my previous job :D

I think I got most of them.

Hogfather could stand to be ponified :D
