Whoever called Luna being voiced by BRIANBLESSED freaking called it.

Pinky's kind of a douche this episode.

But Luna is awesome. Man, if Celestia talks the same way when she's with her, things must get ...loud.

Seriously. I know she's just trying to get into the spirit of the holiday, but those kids don't know that, and Luna is obviously upset about it.

And actually, this version of Luna really does seem like the type who'd turn evil. (or at least give in to the temptation offered by something else)

She's arrogant and self entitled for one but it was glorious

Pinkie's fine, but she doesn't really pay attention.

"Turn?" She's pretty much full on the wagon with the evil queen thing, she's just an evil queen who decided to be nice.

I expect plenty of fanart from that angle.

But, it's strange, I'm not unhappy at all, but...What happened to "missed you so much big sister *snuggle*"? xD It's like she grew up to Celestia age during the time gap. She's certainly not a young child now.

Which fits perfectly with her backstory. It would be kinda weird if she seemed like a pony who was totally okay with not being liked.

Also, I think Pinkie's issue is more a matter of bad timing. Anybody who's been to a haunted corn maze knows it's fun to run around screaming even if you know there's no actual danger. Pinkie just didn't realize how it was contributing to NM's issues.

Well, it has been a year or so. It would be kinda bizarre if she was still like that.

Luna's a god-princess. Of course she acts differently with her sister than with her subject. And its easiler for Celestia to be mellow and more down to earth when she sees other ponies all the time, while Luna barely ever sees any of them.

The whole backstory about Luna not interacting with her subject probably explains her haughty attitute... It's hard for her decide to act un-princess-like for people she barely ever sees.

Woobie!Luna is probably what she's like only when she mopes.

The moral of the story? Don't worry about scaring folks on All Hallows Eve (within reasonable limits). Everypony sometimes wants a thrill.

This is more of a minor thing, but this is the second episode in a row where Cheerilee has been name dropped, and she appeared in the premier. I approve of this attention given to the best not mane cast earth pony.

So I came upon some minor fridge brilliance about why this worked sow well. I get the feeling many interpretations were based around how a normal person would react to her situation and we never once considered how royalty would react. I mean she sounded like she was best friends with Queen flipping Victoria once upon a time and never let go.

Also, Pinkie was this episode's biggest troll, not gonna lie.

And I was almost surprised b Luna not knowing what fun was until I realized that "She was locked in the moon for a thousand years, she probably forgot what joy felt like."

Also, I am getting so many gleeful chills! Can't you all feel it? The simultaneous systematic spontaneous combustion of all things moe and preconceived about Luna... And. It. Feels. GLORIOUS! I must find rage, I need to feed upon some poor fan's ruined fanon!

Oh man, this was such a great episode. I love the direction they took the whole "socially awkward due to being a millennium behind the times" thing. WE ARE MOST PLEASED BY IT.

And Zecora was great in this episode. She really can rock the whole "evil enchantress" thing when she wants to.

By the way, did anyone else love how Luna apparently used a set of fake vampire fangs for the bit where she took on her Nightmare Moon appearance toward the end?

Yes. Apparently she can alter her size and appearance to look like Nightmare Moon, but altering teeth is beyond her.

I love the way the little sprod says that.

If Rainbow Dash finds a small crescent-moon-shaped mark on her flank tomorrow, we'll know that Luna marked her with that last bolt.

In before humorous fanart of Rarity spending the whole night faint from the horror of all the shoddily-done costumes, also partly because she worked herself to exhaustion "fixing" everypony's costumes.

Well, Luna said herself that was how it was done a thousand years ago, and she's a thousand years out of date.

As for the who;e "we" thing, that's just he way royalty refers to themselves; they don't refer to themselves as an individual, they're the entirety of the royal court.
