rarity was turned into one of those in that sonic rainbooom episode. From what I can tell as an actual species they're all a bunch of SquishyWizards that are able to fly. Noctursus are those things that Luna showed up with.

@Shepard: Actual Flutterponies per se have a Sonic Attack they called the Flutter-utter and have persistant wings that aren't that fragile.

Yeah, there were approximately 175, 000 commercials for Gak if you watched the episode "live." I'm sick of it already.
