Passed with honors. Well, I quite enjoyed that, espeically the crystal ponies. So Cadance is the Crystal Princess? Neat. G3 had crystal princesses too.

Gotta say the Spike-Twilight interactions in this one were really nice.

Yeah, other MLP villains were more memorable. Not a bad episode, not at all; but I enjoyed others more.

But they seem to know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.

Alright, Sombra... that was acceptably awesome. I still wish he would have had a bit more presence, but he made up an at least acceptable villain.

Luna's book of night is neat at the end, too... definitely looks like we're getting an over-the-season plot again.

I think the biggest disapppointment with this season premiere was that we were expecting Sombra to be...... a character! It wasn't very epic this way.

Exactly. Twilight thought it was so important that she do it all herself. It was when she decided to let others help her that things turned out well.

Sombra was a tad disappointing. He really had all the personality of a giant blob of shadow. Definitely no Discord...

I liked this two part premiere. However, as far as villains go, King Sombra is pretty generic in motivation and personality.

Glad I kept my expectation was low.

No heroes, no villains, only people.

We saw his horn fly away as he was destroyed, but as established, even parts of him can spread, even when in pieces!!!!! He'll rise again.
