That's certainly interesting. Also, I am seriously considering writing an upcoming research paper on ponies. It's supposed to be discussing utopian ideals in religious writings, and I could easily contrast typical utopian ideals with Equestria.

@JT - I don't see why not. I personally wouldn't suggest it, though, just because for all its worth, to complete outsiders, MLP:FIM is nothing but a show about candy-colored ponies. It might be hard to get it taken seriously.
Unless, of course, whoever grades yours happened to be a brony as well.

@D Roy: I doubt the prof is a brony, but she also showed a bunch of clips from Chicken Run in class to make a point, so I bet I could get away with it. I really haven't decided yet. I do think I could get a legitimate paper out of it, but I'm not sure if I want to actually make the attempt.
