@Mio: It is an interesting view, but I didn't really see RD as jeopardizing any of the other pegasi. I mean, it wasn't like she was forcing any of them to take part when they didn't want to. If anything the reason for all the training was so that they'd be able to do the cyclone safely. The whole process is a lot less dangerous when all the pegasi are stronger. As for the record, as long as she wasn't putting everyone in danger for the sake of making it (which I honestly don't think she was), I see nothing wrong with it. Heck, she realized right off the bat that they weren't going to make the record; she only made a second attempt because she wanted to get the water to Cloudsdale, which was kind of important.

yeah, was mad epretty clear the other pegasi wanted to get it done and try again, she was pushing it sure, but she never forced anypony to take part, plus it's kind of you know civic duy and all to get it done. This wasn't just some record they were trying to break, she would like to but the important thing was making sure Cloudsdale got the water it needed.

I think I can see some might view her actions as egotistical, but I honestly don't buy it. Getting the water to Cloudsdale is a very deal. An achieve at all costs thing. If using that record to get the team motivated is required, then so be it.

And as for being selfish, Dash never made any pony do anything against their will (unless you count dragging FS into the meeting at the first), and was prepared to let Fluttershy drop out to spare her embarrassment, even though its against her wishes. And that sadness for her friend was genuine. I have no doubt about that. The sickness thing well...he's not the most sensitive pony...
