jamaica was french, admittedly, but Hawaii is part of the U.S, which used to be part of the empire, so that's close enough. Canada is n independant country, after all, but is still considered a part of the british empire. Granted there's a lot of wierd reasoning behind that, but whatever.

Joking, I don't doubt. A variation of the 'I only hate racists and the dutch' gag, but substituting in the target de jour.

Honestly you could even consider it to be a roundabout sort of defense; drawing attention to it as an other in midst of a relatively srious discussion sort of says, "It's not a big deal guys, seriously", doesn't it?

Maybe it's just me, but Twilight's magic was a different color. That was really bothering me, but I might just be colorblind.

Yeah, it was. They've done a few visual upgrades this season, and giving different unicorns differently coloured magic was one of them. Twilight's is sort of pinkish, Rarity's is Blue, and Celestia's is yellow, so far.

It was all the same color, not pony specific, I think. The magic itself is white, but is shaded by the character using it's horn.

It was definitely specific. Twilight's magic is darker this season, and Rarity's is less pale.

Also, what's up with the moving shots? It seems there's been quite a few like that one in Lesson Zero where Celestia is scolding Twilight and the camera "slides" around the bookshelf.

My guess is its just the animators pushing themselves. Or maybe they've gotten a bigger budget, so they can do more that they couldn't last time, hire more people on or something? Either way, the already phenomenal animation is bumping up. As long as they don't try to push it out of the style, I'm happy with it. I think it's working well so far.

Even if they don't have more money this season, I'd imagine that after a year of working on the show they've gotten better at animating it, so it isn't surprising that the animation has gotten better.

Oh my god, you're telling me that in 29 episodes worth of dialogue, there is one point where playing it backwards results in something sort of sounding a bit like a racial slur? Wow, its almost like things can sometimes sound like other things.

I wonder if this person was specifically going through everything backwards looking for something like that.
