Interesting how the the last Pinkie episode of season 2 essentially contradicted the last Pinkie episode of season 1.

I think what was meant is that in Party of One, we see that AJ is a terrible liar, and in MM Mystery (at least in the draft version), she pretty much holds the lie till the end.

Of course, that part came out, so we'll never know.

It doesn't really that much, but it probably would have been easier for Pinkie if she was more suspicious and didn't assume the best of her friends.

Because Twilight is best pony. That's why she didn't try to steal some cake. (Seriously, as fun as that episode was, the Mane 6 bar Twilight (and Applejack if you exclude the cut scene) were kind of jerks.

I'm probably weird in that I didn't like the imagination sequences as much because they all involved destruction of the cake by slicing

I liked the imagination sequences. They're so absurd.

And has a master level psionic, Twilight is immune to Pinkie's mind control and hence didn't eat the cake.

I guess that the whole point of most of the Mane Six being guilty in MMM was to have a twist ending since it's a mystery episode. It really wasn't concerned with if they would do it, or how they would look doing it.
