If I did my own MLP series, I'd keep the same universe, and the same cast, but make it more adventure orientated, with story arcs. I'd be very tempted to give it more freedom to explore adult themes. Perhaps up to a 12 age rating? (roughly PG-13 for you Americans) Basically whatever gives it the most freedom to explore the world the show is set in, and the characters in it.

I was supposed to be staying at a hotel down south so I was going to be out of the Hurricane path. But they decided to close anyway so I get to sit at home now.
Last time we had a bad storm we lost power for 4 days... this is going to be an awesome vacation!
