Other than the straight-ahead face they look good. They also seem to have ditched the creepy reversible elbows from gmod, though that might just be cel shading making it less obvious when they let the forelegs do implausible things.

Yay footage for a game i'll never get to play because they it's only or people with uber-phones
well that's nice, seems there is bought for cash in game stuff, but nothing that you can't get on your own, paying cash will just get it faster.

Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.

I can't play smartphone games, but then again I don't play games much at all anymore anyway.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

I dunno if Gameloft will support Android 2.3 or IOS 4.3, but hopefully they'll support the older hardware. Me, I'll make room on my tablet stuffed full of pony for the game.
Twi :D You don't even playtest your own Pickory?

Looks great. More than ever, I am glad Zynga din't get their filthy mitts on the rights to make this :D
Structurally it looks pretty much identical to a Zynga game. Just a bit more care put into the presentation. The footage was a "shitloads of money" debug, so we'll have to see how gratuitously ingame vs. premium currency is priced.
From what I can tell, this is pretty much par for the course for Gameloft. Most-definitely-not-copies of other games that weren't put on IOS yet, but not quite as half-assed as one would expect of something that shameless.

Well what do ya know, Gameinformer did an interview (which includes a trailer) that actually sheds light on the game. There are 46 unlockable ponies, with more to come (DLC!!!!!). Ponies can be leveled up individually and can be assigned to specific shops. There's a social element to the game, an example is you can hide treasure chests in your friend's Ponyville. Its implied you can use any pegasus in the Rainbow Dash flying game.
Oh, and Derpy is in the trailer. Guess that means Hasbro is finally gonna decide if they're sticking to "Derpy" or changing her name to something else...

@Calnos: It only counts as DLC if the other ponies are included in the launch app and need to be $$$ Unlocked, not if they are downloaded-updates that can be unlocked the usual way for the patience.

Now this here is an episode that shows Rainbow Dash and Applejack's flaws.
Both of them were quite willing to cheat, especially later on. I have to say that Applejack knocking down that beehive wasn't just mean, it was dangerous!
Why? Because...it had been established in "Bridle Gossip" that allergies exist. Sure, we don't know what kind of allergies and which ponies have them, but for all we know, Rainbow Dash is allergic to bees. Bee allergies can be fatal, and RD could have died if she hadn't escaped those bees. That's Fridge Horror right there, folks! <Shudders>
