I don't think pony can have evil (like crime related) CM (exept coruption or dark side). Only CM what can be interpreted as crime CM.

Lauren Faust said there would be A new villain. Said villain was Discord, but we could always get more minor antagonists akin to Gilda and Trixie.

No one on the show's staff has said there will be a recurring villain.

Postulate 2: Discord is one new villain
Conclusion: Discord is the villain they offered.

I don't see any flaws in this logic.

I thought there was an interview posted on Ponygoons where whatshisname let slip a new villain would show up after Discord.

Are we talking about ACTUAL villains? Or are we talking about Jerkass Antagonists?

@Death Cloud: Noone is saying that there won't be more antagonists, just that the most likely scenario is that the "new villain" that was mentioned is Discord.

If there is, it'll probably be at the end of the season. Doesn't make much sense to have it in the middle.

Yeah, somepony like a Mad Scientist or a Corrupt Corporate Executive, not just some random asshole.

Since there's trains in Equestria, maybe there could be a recuring railroad tycoon villian. Rich daddy's colt or filly type.

Well, since they went to the trouble of putting that train in the opening now, it certainly has some credence to it. But I suppose we'll simply have to wait and see what happens.

With regards to the crime thing: I always assumed that Ponies have no concept of crime or war due to the power of friendship being a literal physical force in Equestria.

@Death Cloud: I'm not really seeing what your argument is. If there had been Word Of God stating that there would only be one villain (since we have a contrary word complete with Oh Crap expression, we know this isn't true), what would have been so illogical about it being the guy who mind raped the entire mane cast that you would need direct confirmation from Lauren Faust?
