In my headcanon, I like to see Diamond Tiara as the perfect example of the self-fulfilling prophesy. Her parents named her like a little princess, and treated her like a little princess, so she turned out to be a spoiled-rotten girl who excels at being a little princess. Her cutie mark represents her skills at domineering and commanding those around her.

I don't think I've even seen her mother in fanfiction other than a recent edit of Past Sins once the first pass with her parents got Jossed by canon.
Filthy Rich is usually presented as not deliberately bad, but a total sugar daddy and a bit willfully negligent of his daughter's bullshit.

Yeah, what they said about Filthy Rich. But the only fic that I've read which deals with her mother is The Pony POV Series, where Golden Tiara went insane and became Screw Ball (Discord claims that it runs in the family because they're his descendants) and Diamond Tiara didn't exactly cope well. Filthy Rich didn't either but he's mostly in denial.
