That's not a sensible answer. When someone asks 'what was that for', they are not inquiring about costs. In order to answer that way, you need to deliberately misinterpert it to the point where your response is not a valid joke at all as you are answering an imaginary question unrelated to anything that was actually asked and as such could answer anything you feel like.

He's talking about how deliberately misunderstanding a question is not funny, it's just annoying.

Like, "What is the matter, my lord?" means "What are you reading about?" but he deliberately misunderstands the question to make Polonius look like an idiot.

I'm not really planning on a sequel at the moment. I know what I'd base it on if I were to do it, but I'd like to work on different things. Being locked into one story for six months was a bit draining. Glad to hear you enjoyed it, though.
