I analyze "Geek Culture" here.

When All Else Fails, worry, that's the 14 way.

Well I'm not familiar with PPG, but isn't HIM basically just a devillish version of Discord?

[up] A devilish Camp Gay version of Discord. Discord may be affable, but he's definitely evil.

[up][up] That reminds me, is the guy also an Effeminate Misogynistic Guy? I haven`t watched much Powerpuff, but I find there seems to be a fair bit of overlap between that trope and the Sissy Villain, and since that show seems to be another "girl power" show...

HIM had a really creepy voice. I do kind of wonder why they seem to find Mojo the evillest. HIM seemed much worse. Even Mojo feared that guy.

Him creeped me out a bit as a kid.

Him didn't really bother me as a kid.

But he sure as fuck creeps me out now.

I don't know if he would have because I was older when the show was on. Although in works where kids are in trouble, it bothers me now more than when I was a kid. For example, Dahl's The BFG.

Him sends the Earth flying into the sun in one episode.

HIM was the most evil villain on that goddamned show [lol]

HIM was Gay Satan, basically. So that makes sense.

And yes, HIM scares the crap out of me now; he wasn't that bad when I was younger, but he is now.

I used to find Him's name confusing when I was little.

...is it weird that I think he's cool now?

It doesn't matter if you love him or capital H-im.

Stop me if people were talking about this recently, but do you guys think Big Mackintosh is getting Flanderized? I notice he's listed on that page.

Not , uch to flanderize in the first place.

Yea, he really isn't, since he didn't have a whole lot of characterization in the first place. I mean aside from Eeeeyup and Eeeenope, he has maybe 4 or 5 lines throughout the rest of the show. And he hardly ever shows up, so there's not much chance at development via body language, either.

Big Macintosh saying little more than "eeyup!" and "eenope!" reminded me a bit of Games Animation shoving "no sir, I don't like it!" into all of Mr. Horse's appearances during their tenure at the helm of The Ren & Stimpy Show.
