I've read it. First half is cool and mysterious. Second half drops a lot of mystery for suspense, and towards the end loses even that thanks to predictability.

@Seraphem: Yeah, only the first section of that sounds interesting to me, and even then I prefer to not to take Lyra's human interest to such an extreme. I'm not a fan of actually having humans in the pony stories.
