I forget which fanfic it was, but it showed heartland Equestrian ponies getting grossed out by the mere thought of it, but the ones in more mixed-community borderlands didn't really bat an eye (to the point that one of them was a fishmonger). It is an occasionally noted fact that despite her personality, Fluttershy would be more comfortable with the whole Circle of Life business than most ponies.

RE: pony archery, my first thought would be to fasten the bow to the back of one forehoof, and hold the arrow with a rough-edged spring-powered claw that clamps around the pastern of the other and can be squeezed by curling the hoof. The bow would be drawn held horizontally instead of vertically, and worn while walking around without tripping over it by turning the hoof outward a bit. Crossbows are another option, but are much slower to reload compared to a good longbow archer.

I find it very reminiscent of classical Disney Renaissance period. I love me some pointless nostalgia.

I mean, it's not like there's anything else good that came out of childhood.

Good things that came out of childhood:

• Animaniacs
• Reboot
• Power Rangers
• Tiny Toon Adventures
• Toy Story
• Toonami
• and much more.

And now for unsolicited advice:

A bit exposition heavy, especially as you are summarizing conceptually. It is hard to introduce new characters, and all those at once is especially tough. If you had the time, you could maybe let them be introduced and characterized through action, but I think you have other priorities to maintain in order to move the story along, so I can't fault you for skipping to all the good parts.

Plus, the art looked great.

And yeah, to be honest I do have abit of an exposition problem. It's come up in the novel I'm writing as well, I always have this strange need to get some important information out of the way for context so I can get to the character interactions and other interesting things.

It's the best villain song I've heard in the past few years, the only one coming close was Friends on the Other Side.

There are so many things I enjoyed when I was young the list is massive. tl; dr version:

• A large portion of Disney toons
• Lots of Looney Tunes
• Harveytoons
• Reboot
• SWAT Kats, the only major Hanna-Babara cartoon that wasn't a cheaped-out and terrible budget show built out of bad jokes and limited stop-motion animation
• both Sonic cartoons
• Batman's famous animated series
• the 90's Marvel cartoons for X-Men, Spidey, and Iron Man
• Reruns of great classics from the 80's like Transformers and the G1 pony cartoon and the Rainbow Brite movie
• copious amounts of anime
