I had a similar idea to an RD/Scootaloo episode a while back. The main difference was that instead of simply obnoxious behavior rubbing off, it was straight-up dangerous things, like Scootaloo trying to replicate one of Rainbow Dash's stunts. In that case, you wouldn't need someone to take offense, only someone to realize that what Scootaloo is doing is dangerous, which could easily be the rest of the CMC or even Rainbow Dash herself.

That is an admitedly good potential idea. I actually kind of want to see a proper RD/Scoots episode.

May lead to RD gratingly trying to be a good 'boring' role model and desperately trying to avoid any stunts or impulsive behaviour.

Yeah, we need more Scootalove.

The episode could start with Scoots spending more and more time hanging out with Dashie, and it could end with Dashie giving Scoots proper flying lessons with Fluttershy's help :3

@Perpetual: I'd like to see an episode like that as well, with the caveat that it ends up being RD who has to talk Scoots out of doing something dangerous. Otherwise it would be dangerously easy to paint RD as not caring about Scoots' safety.

Like maybe Scoots sees everypony cheering on RD for doing some sort of fancy stunt, and then tries to pull her own despite not having any clue how to pull it off. Cue RD explaining how yes, she's awesome, but it took a lot of practice for her to get that far, etc.

@JT: Hmmm yeah, that makes sense. It would work too, just have, say, Fluttershy, remind Dashie of something, which has her realize that maybe Scoots shouldn't try the big stuff until she can fly normally.

And hey, any episode that actually shows RD's competent side is fine with me. Tbat was one of the reasons I liked Hurricane Fluttershy so much; it shows that for all her posturing, she is good at her job. Heck, that was even her establishing character moment in the pilot.

I'd like to see an episode with RD coaching Scootaloo, Scootaloo wanting to be just like Rainbow Dash, and Dash teaching Scoots to be her own mare and finding her own individual style.

I think my favourite part was Giant Baby Spike having to much fun to want to become small again.
