I still think that Pinkie hitting the button could have waited another episode to hit the button. At least we got that live-action sequence of Pinkie running amok in the studio.

The episode that they animated in Garry's Mod and SFM in season 56 was piss-myself funny. Rubberfruit really knows what he's doing.

[up][up] I don't even know what that was about.

I'm also not sure why they spent the entirety of season 77 dedicated to Twilight wandering between realities, but at least we got that scene when she was counselling Fluttershy-XV on how to properly ask Twilight-XV out. I've never seen anyone try to explain romance with a flowchart before.

Slow Pony? Best idea for sock puppet in ages.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.

@Meta Four - I know, right? It is kind of like Dream of Lifetime, in which, if I remember correctly, the Mane Cast enters Discord's dream to plant an idea (what was it, exactly?).

And it was really cool how they tied that scene into that weird Alternate Reality Game that ran before the season. Speaking of which, I was really impressed at how realistic those fake newspaper clippings looked.

[up] I'm still not sure how they managed to convince all those major newspapers to carry pictures of the President being harassed by a bright pink cartoon horse.

IIRC, the idea they planted was a suggestion to start being nice, which resulted in the creation of Nega-Discord in the following season.

I loved that episode actually. I was actually surprised at how many good scenes Derpy got. "We need to go derper!"

Where? I love sockpuppets!

[up][up] It would have been such an easy handwave to have Nega-Discord be from a parallel universe, but that scene of him ripped in two, then his evil side seeking out cybernetic parts while the good one basked in the healing light of the Elements, was well worth the months of horrifying nightmares that followed.

@Meta Four - Indeed it was.

Pinkie's dreamscape manipulation was crazy.

Did anyone get a look at the RPG tie-in they released during season 61?

'Twas kind of cool how almost everyone used Exalted rules except the various Discords, who were given Nobilis stats, and Pinkie, who was statted in Toon.

You do realize that Slow Pony's been here before, right? Or was that part of the joke?

Screwball will get her own episode, and it will be revealed that Screw Loose is her mother! surprised

Mark my words, Pinkie Pie would say that we are all so random! [lol]

It was a huge risk showing that entire episode in Pinkievision, but it was hilarious when that talking mailbox turned out to be Derpy.

Speaking of Pinkie vision, I loved that arc where they kept reshowing the events of a single day, each episode from the perspective of a different member of the Mane Six. Of course Pinkie is the first one to figure out that they're trapped in a time loop...

I did think it was interesting stylistically that Pinkie saw all the others as basically collections of whatever their cutie mark depicts squeezed into a pony shape, except Twilight who was made entirely from calligraphy. Made it very surreal.

[up] Only on the second try, though. She went through the first one criticising the writer for copying the script, remember?

Aaaaand that's how I killed the thread, ladies and gentlemen.

That was a very brave move, since most fans criticized them for making essentially the same episode over and over.

What I don't understand is why they waited that long to give the CMC their Cutie Marks.

I still can't believe that Apple Bloom had a golf club as her cutie mark. I mean, really?
