@Wryte: Don't sell yourself short. I've been writing for years, and I still doubt my ability sometimes. The important thing is to keep it up.

I've been writing since I was in grade school. Writing used to be one of my default leisure activities. Had a minute? Write!

These days I have to absolutely force myself to it, and even then half the time I don't get anything done.

Actually, she didn't even need that. Sibsy was holding the pencil in the inside curl of her hoof, against the back of the plantar. From the pastern down, the hoof is basically a big old finger, and given cartoon physics I'd imagine they could hold something that way.

I'll admit I knew it in that much detail because I spent way too much time one day putting the Manes into RPG roles, and decided bipedal combat was the Difficult, But Awesome school of swordplay for ponies.
