So, I was watching Teletoon Retro today and noticed an ad for the MLP Wedding Castle playset featuring Cadence and Shining Armor....even though it'll still be months before "A Canterlot Wedding" airs in Canada. We only got up to Hearth's Warming Eve, and then Season 2 restarted for September, so it'll most likely air in February. Because, you know, that's how marketing works!

Also, please, let's not get into another argument. I'm seriously planning repentance. EDIT: Ooh, nice. Pagetopper.

well anyway. further reports on my journey through the wide world of mlp fanfiction since I finished FOE.

finished reading Wayward Courier, another fallout/mlp crossover. The Courier's Transportalponder glitches and sends him to Equestria instead of the Mojave. Shenanigans occur, ponies get traumatized with stories of how bad a place the mojave is, diamond dogs and changelings get their shit rocked, and The Courier gets it on with Luna. Really, they were both drunk! Such a thing would normally turn me away, but nothing was actually shown and it was entirely Played for Laughs, so I was OK with it. It was overall an ok story, I'd say.

Also read Mass Effect 2 - DLC: The Equestrian Equation. Now that was a fun one! I've tried a few mass effect/mlp crossovers, but most of them are "ponies are already an established member of the galactic council, proceed with plot of ME", a concept that just doesn't do anything for me. But this! After finding the Reaper IFF, Shepard gets a mission from TIM to track down a lost team of Cerberus scientists who were investigating a strange, unknown power signature when they went silent. Each chapter ends with a a set of options for the readers to choose from. This isn't your normal human in equestria fic, not by a long shot...

finally, I read Fair Feather Friend. RD finds an injured Falcon and decides to make it her pet. Shenanigans ensue. There's not much more to say about it, very fun read.

I don't know if I'd call it a crack pairing. Discord and Celestia is pretty common from what I've seen.

@Blissey: An ME crossover fic that doesn't cast Twi as Shepard? That's going in my reading list.

@Sin: Wow, that is so sad.

@Blissey: I don't think it's too smooth per se, I think it's more that the show tends to focus on animating the primary characters and leaves the background comparatively static; a lot of fan animations seem to apply that same level of detail to everything which makes it look odd compared to the show. It's not a bad thing, but it's not quite how the show does it.

That actually sounds hilarious enough to possibly pique my interest...
