It's not so much an airdate, as we got more info about the Crystal Empire DVD that included a vague plot summary of the first two episodes.

@Applelight: I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

@Con: One Piece is...interesting. I love the concept and I think the writing handles it pretty well, but I think the art style leaves a bit to be desired sometimes.

Hey, did you ever see Hugo? That crash is reffed pretty awesomely, along with a bajillion other Silent Films that I have all seen. That movie is so good.

The other Pegasus on the crew is a crazy goofball who flies like a hummingbird...beats his wings so fast they're practically invisable, can dart around in the blink of an eye whilst hovering...but can't actually fly that fast. This is a reference to Pinkie Pie's original concept as Surprise.

I wouldn't call those vague plot summaries we always get spoilers. They're essentially what TV Guide shows, and are rarely indicative of the real plot or tone.

@Perpetual: Yeah, it's pretty vague, but I think plot points like the kingdom appearing out of nowhere or Twilight having to find an ancient artifact to save them still qualify as spoilers.

Meta Four: It involves prayers that the alicorn Ruby Acea will bless the crop.

edvedd: Now I'm imagining an alicorn just ten kinds of hopped up on coffee.

And now you've got me thinking: Ruby was so hopped up on coffee that she didn't sleep for centuries. Eventually it got bad enough that the other ponies staged an intervention. Ruby was so touched by their concern that she stopped drinking coffee... and promptly crashed.

That was a few decades before Nightmare Moon's banishment. Ruby is still sleeping.

That does sound like a pretty cool idea. I was trying to think of something shadow-related, but I couldn't think of anything good. That works really well.
