It was the writers making a callback to their own joke. The fact that the fandom had turned said original joke into a meme in the meantime had nothing to do with the callback.

@storyyeller: At the start of "Dragone Baby Gone", he wouldn't eat his drugged carrot, so Fluttershy tossed him in the bunny fire.

Also, I think his name in FIW is Pavlov, not Angel.

Oh, about BAMF.

I kinda cancelled it because I didn't like the format I was using, and at the time I didn't have enough confidence to write the characters well. Mostly with physical matters like hooves and the fact that they're ponies.

I'm giving it a shot though, with something I'm doing right now. I just need to get some political details right.

Also, Spike's about to be killed by Gollum.
