About season 3, let me quote Apple Bloom on that:
By the way, did you guys see what may or may not be screenshots from season 3? They show Rarity's boutique all abandoned and boarded up, as well as Sweet Apple Acres seemingly abandoned with no crops growing. Also, there's the fact that those two season 3 songs take place in Canterlot instead of Ponyville.
Do you think...that some kind of disaster will strike Ponyville in such a way that everypony will be forced to leave and relocate to Canterlot? If that's the case, I wonder what sort of disaster it will be, because Ponyville has faced some strange stuff in the first two seasons, and nopony had to evacuate. Ooh, boy, if Ponyvillians have to go settle in Canterlot, I bet the resulting class struggle will make what happened in "The Best Night Ever" and "Sweet And Elite" look like skirmishes in comparison!
Yes, those screenshots have been discussed on the thread before.

Again and again and again and again.
I skimmed through the mane cast character page and found this bit, under Twilight:
Ojou: While not outright stated, it is implied that she came from a very privileged background, even before she met Princess Celestia and became her student. What with having The Princess's niece (who is a princess herself) as a foalsitter.
Huh. Yeah, it does make me wonder how she ended up with a princess as her foalsitter.

I like to think that Cadance found pampered no-work royal life quite boring. Being as young as she was, I doubt she had any official duties, so she went ahead and gave herself some.
I see Gilda as being a real friend for Rainbow. It's just unlike the Mane Six she doesn't live in Ponyville so she's not given an opportunity to make it up to her. Think about episodes like Lesson Zero, Green Isn't Your Colour, Party of one. And say Twilight, Fluttershy/Rarity or Pinkie left halfway through the episode before the conflict was resolved. Then the Mane Six's friendship would be left in a state not dissimilar to Gilda and Rainbow.

FTFY
Seriously, I don't want to sound rude, but please spoiler your post in the future for those who want to avoid that sort of thing. (I'm not one of them, but...)

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Twilight is a nobility.

She is educated and rather privileged, plus she's a unicorn. Maybe there are pony Equalists. What does your new avatar mean?
They may need to call in Team Ponytar. (Need a better pun for that one.)

I always figured Twi was originally upper-middle class, with her parents having some kind of government job or something (explaining why they could know of Cadence and get Twi a headstart on the academy). Stipend from Celestia aside, she clearly has a lot of money to invest in a personal book collection, lots of telescopes and scientific equipment, and a balloon (prolly complete with pilot license!)

@condo I kind of doubt Pony Equalists would exist, unless, in addition to unicorn magic, they were willing to remove Pegasi flight and weather manipulation, Earth Pony's connection to the earth, friendship, etc.
Thinking about it, is classism that much of a problem in Equestria? We've only really seen it in Sweet and Elite as far as I can remember...

@Scarabes - Hmm, never thought about that before. That makes sense.
@condot - Well, it's not exactly new and I actually used it several times.
It is the logo of Krav Maga, aka the most efficient martial art in the world.

Ha.◊
Anybody else sad about his death? My mom decided my little brother was not allowed to watch the show anymore after that episode. He started asking hard questions about why Tarlock killed himself and stuff... That's awesome. Are you Jewish?
More Simpsons references!

You should be, cause you're an avatar NINJA.
Also, had to go to library today. Little sister's friend slept over at our house and they are tearing up house and being SO ANNOYING.

@condot - I don't get what you mean.
Yeah, little siblings can be really loud, can they not? I bet Shining Armor didn't have to put up with that, though.
