@d Roy It's just Equestrian vocabulary. No need to question it.
I think they use it sparingly enough that it isn't a big deal, mainly because "somepony" has the same cadence as "somebody" and as such doesn't stick out as much. It's when the syllables get changed around (e.g. "stallionfriend" replacing "boyfriend") that it gets awkward.
I like hearing somepony and everypony in show plus other similar stuff. It make Equestria more alien and by that more appealing to me.

But coltfriend is used for boyfriernd. At least in fanworks.

Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
Apparetnly if the commercial time in each episode were converted to show time, we'd have nearly seven more hours of pony across the two seasons.
@CDRW You could say that about any show.
Fortunately, I am a finite loser.
Being transfinite is so much more fun.

Television commercials are the reason I prefer books.
I mean, it completely breaks the flow of the story, making the pacing awkward and choppy.
Also, it indulges the short attention span. It's an interruption, people don't like to watch commercials, they only watch them so that they don't miss when the show comes back on.
My brother comes home tomorrow!
@Surprise: That would scare the pants off me, which is worrying because I'm not wearing a shirt right now.
Awesome! I want pictures when it's done!
All the words we meant to say
All the chances swept away
@Turtle: Sweet. Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done.
That Derpy game on EQD is pretty darn interesting. I like the atmosphere.

Yay, it's catching on!

Is that supposed to be Sherlock?
