Well, Vietnam was mainly during the 1960's, with US involvement starting officially in 1963 and ending 1969, with large-scale deployment in '65.

Assuming Equestria is an alternate America, then Pinkie Pie would've been at least born in 1944, to be 21 when being deployed to Vietnam in 1965, then assuming, that Pinkie Pie served until 1967, where she was discharged for mental instability, then she would be at least 23. Assuming that MLP takes place in 2009, then she would be around 60-odd years old.

I'm not good at maths.

And I just provided an entire case to how Pinkie Pie could've been in Vietnam...

There's no way it ended in 69. I think it ended somehwere around 72-74.

Wikipedia said US involvement ended in '69, with fighting continuing until '72.

The Punisher was introduced sometime in The Seventies, and the war was definitely still going on in that decade. I mean, it's the decade that gave the world Dirty Harry.

"Involvement" and"fighting" are funny words sometimes.

ok, someone enlighten me on another controversial fic. What's the deal with Past Sins? I've been seeing references to it and Nyx in comments on other fics and derpibooru. And that's a hell of an image for the story.

I think it's mainly controversial because it features an alicorn OC as a main character, with accusations of Mary Sue thrown around a lot. I haven't read it, so I wouldn't know how it is, but it has a huge following, so there has to be something to it.
