If a comic relies on annoying a certain section of its audience, it is not funny. Mocking font elitists with that one "My Hobby: Sending thank-you letters in Papyrus to font elitists and then seeing them try to act grateful" strip, or that one strip that was a long string of Neologisms made purely to irritate pedants, etc, etc.
