Catch ya later, JT.

But how many channels do you get in Britain? What are the core networks?

Free TV in America is CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox, plus a bunch of stations like Me TV and This that I think might just be local. Like, has anybody else heard of Svengoolie?

Edit: Holy crap, he has a trope page. He recently went nationwide, apparently. Good for him!

BBC One, BBC Two, ITV (this one sucks) and Channel 4 are the core ones.

Doctor Who is pretty much the only thing I watch on TV now. I use the interwebs for everything else.

Given the tech level, online pirates wouldn't even make sense in Equestria.

Hmm... Equestrian internet-equivalent. Maybe a network of magically-linked card catalogs in every library?

According to TV Tropes, Me TV is not just a local Chicago station anymore. Do you have stations that are local to areas, or is Britain too small for that?

Plus, what about cable stuff like the History Channel?

@Connie I think (I'm probably completely wrong here) Wales has Welsh language channels but, other than that, no.

You should totally look up Whose Line Is It Anyway?. It's not a sitcom, but it's usually hilarious.

second, thirding, and fourthing this. Everyone should watch it.

Sometimes it's weird to think that you live in a country the size of the state I live in. You can probably drive anywhere in just one day.

[up] I'll check out the British one. I've never seen the British The Office, either. Is that any good?

Why hasn't anyone made a parody video? Art is nice, but I want too see Twilight be Drew Carey. The scene where she's preparing to make the speech in Applebuck Season is perfect for that. Sweetie Belle can be Wayne Brady. tongue

Well, my thinking was that you'd write something on a card and insert it into the catalog, which then can be read in any other linked catalog. So you could transcribe an entire book that way, but it would take a lot of cards...

They could totally deliver a Take That at RIAA by portraying an obstructive, corrupt Unicorn Mage Guild that overcharges for unicorns to buy their "official" spellbooks. The episode ends with Twi exposing their corruption to the Princess, who takes... steps.

Yeah, cause he can send stuff to Princess Celestia just by burning it.

You know, I'm glad we don't have a queen in America. Sometimes I wonder why people in Britain still want one.

Our core channels are by only two companies. Televisa and tv azteca,

Channel 2 the most popular (like 90% of viewers) Soap operas all day Not gonna lie... They are awful.

What do you think of the queen, Purps? She seems nice enough, but I think I would resent her, if I had a queen. I guess maybe the whole Princess Celestia thing does have some basis in reality...

[up][up]In America, Telemundo is also a main station, and it's in Spanish. There are other Spanish networks, though, I think.

@Ed Give yourself up! Hand over the princess! (pumps shotgun)

@Connie I don't mind her. She's never abused her power in 60 years so that counts for something.

Maybe there's a magical equivalent of data compression. Instead of .zip files, they have spells that can fit on a single card, and when cast they generates a much larger text.

It's just, yeah, she never abused her power, but the fact that she has any kind of power at all, even as a figure head, that really doesn't bother you?
