I'm not quite sure how I feel about it; on one hand the animation was amazing, and there was a metric ton of awesome Shout Outs and jokes, but at the same time it felt kinda underwhelming, like the basic plotline that everything else was hung on wasn't that great. Applejack took her defeat a lot harder than I would have expected her to, and the rest of the cast went to somewhat douchey lengths to drag it out of her when she obviously didn't want to talk about it. I mean, the scene of Pinkie being deliberately annoying was funny, but at the same time it's a pretty mean thing to do to somepony.

Assuming magical means of transformation, I'm going to assume they can also change their scent, as a sort of Required Secondary Power. I mean, you're not going to do a good job of pretending to be Applejack if you don't smell like apples and perspiration.
