If their sun was weaker, then it wouldn't be giving enough heat to warm the world when moving in a normal day/night cycle.

Except we don't know that it even does move in a natural day/night cycle, or whether it even produces heat in the same way. Maybe part of Celestia's magic involves diffusing the heat equally across Equestria or something. Or it's just closer, so the fact that it isn't as strong doesn't matter.

Also, MAGIC.

There's enough heat from the sun for Ponyville to be in a temperate climate zone with four seasons.

Except the four seasons are also controlled by ponies and oh dear I've gone cross-eyed.
MCs on the paper with their murder metaphors need to deal with the literal resurrector.

Okay, yeah, I'm just operating on Like Reality Unless Noted here, and the sun moving via magic instead planetary rotation wouldn't need to change how things work otherwise, but other explanations are perfectly plausible, if complicated.

As it revolves around the planet, it is reasonable to assume that it is less massive than the planet, and thus probably powered by magic instead of fusion.

I kinda assumed that "unless noted" clause kicked in the moment it was established that Celestia has control over the sun. When you have a magical winged unicorn moving the thing herself, I think pretty much any pretense of realism goes out the window. tongue

MLP isn't really Like Reality Unless Noted.

It's ostensibly very close to being a utopian society.

Maybe every race beleives that they are secretly the ones controlling the sun.

Like in Rock-A-Doodle, except not.

Well, my threshold for things being "noted" is a bit higher, but it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. tongue

Who's the guy in the pic?
Ace Reporter Moses from New Zealand, according to EQD.

Technically we already had one.
we've only seen one mule
Two, actually: the mule from "Applebuck Season" & "Hurricane Fluttershy" and Mulia Mild.

EDIT: 'Night, JT.

It's a Discworld book where the people simultaneously beleive that numerous different gods raise the sun each day. They end up fighting over it like a football.

I thought Mulia was a donkey that just happened to have a Punny Name.

Going to bed for reals now.

It wouldn't be much of a pun if she wasn't a mule, though.

I never read that one.

She doesn't really look like the other mule we've seen though.

For one thing, she isn't ugly.

I remember some of the Japanese commenters remarked on Rarity's casual racism, and I was like, "ha, yeah, I know."

I guess we did get plenty of hints about this stuff in Bridal Gossip.
