Am I the only one who first watched MLP hoping and expecting to like it? I was actually disappointed and wrote it off, only to give it another try 3 or 4 months later.
I came into it thinking there was a 50/50 chance of me liking it. Someone whose opinions I respect recommended the series to me, but I've also learned the hard way that there's no correlation whatsoever between popularity and quality.

Anyway, I can't remember my expectations when watching it eaxctly. But the first time I tried to watch it, I accidently watched a G3 cartoon instead.
