@JT Oh, I totally understand Hype Backlash. It's just that I think that it has no place in a well thought-out opinion. It's an instinctive reaction based solely on forces outside the work itself with no bearing on the work's actual quality.

Yeah, I'm just saying sometimes it's unavoidable, even if there's no logical reason for it. Most people are pretty bad at logic. The best you can hope for is to notice when you've been hit by it and try to work around it.

The world doesn't work by logic. Sometimes events happen without cause and without effect. Sometimes things both happen and don't happen at the same time. Sometimes the past changes.

Life is incomprehensible, it doesn't always follow rules, you can't predict what will happen next.

@Steve: I got a bunch of these buttons,

specifically the Vinyl, Lyra, Octavia, Cheerilee, and Derpy ones. I also got an Octavia poster that I can't find an image of at the moment. And I picked up a bunch of those trading cards and a binder for them.

The closest I got to a celebrity meeting was when James Wootton showed up at the cosplay shoot and took a few pictures with everyone. My sister on the other hand ran into Tara Strong fixing her hair in the bathroom.
