Claws are an Unarmed Weapon, different skill. It's like the difference between a Deathclaw Gauntlet and a Katana.

Do you think they'll ever address
Carnivore Confusion?
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
I thought Equines were typically herbivorous in nature.

Well, strictly speaking they are - their systems are designed to break down the proteins and chemicals in grass, and the like. but the stuff in meat is just another kind of protein. They can't really break it down as well, so a lot of it just passes through, but it won't do them any harm, and if they like the taste of something they'll eat it. And some of them like the taste, I guess.
That's the first I'd heard of it.

@Ed: Tirac died by the Rainbow and one of the G1 supervillains got turned into crystal and shattered. Maybe it'll happen again. Also, G1 AJ killed a slaver Wizard by smashing his throne, causing him to fall down the pit the resulting magical reaction opened up.
IIRC ponies can eat eggs (carefully) to improve their mane condition. Rarity would totally do that.
Do you think that maybe dinosaurs could have just evolved into dragons?
Aright, but I still say there could be a land that time forgot style island of dinosaurs out there. I'd love to see an episode of that.
@Ed: They didn't specify the fate of the wizard guy, but it's pretty clear that he didn't make it because he went in the pit head-first and flat-footed.
You know, when your world has dragons and hydras and sea serpents as accepted facts, dinosaurs kinda lose their fantastic edge.
Dinosaurs were like, my thing as a kid. I still have all this sweet dinosaur stuff...
@Lurker: And giant rock-eel things. But then, they could be MAGIC dinosaurs.
I wonder if any fans would complaing about the dinosaurs not being scientifically accurate despite all the mythological creatures.
