@Mio If it's any consolation, we have pseudo Word of Faust on the changelings being directly inspired by their traditional fae counterparts. It was in the same video that talked about her plans for a mildly depressing Scootaloo episode that never panned out that she could neither confirm or deny was true.

My favorite weird plural is thrips

: the singular and plural are identical, so the singular looks for all the world like a plural.

"There are several dozen thrips on that plant, but there's only one thrips on this plant."
