Bridal Gossip was also the episode that converted me. It wasn't just flutterguy, but the transformation all the mane 6 had. I mean, c'mon, Twilight having incontinence issues and Rarity turning into Cousin It?

Huh, me too. I consider Bridal Gossip a sort of turning point for the show, all of the episodes prior to it are kind of low tier.

You haven't even watched all the episodes right? Maybe you never had that strong of an interest in the first place.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Apathy has been hitting me hard lately, about a lot of things. I deal with it by focusing on my writing. If you have any sort of creative thing you do, maybe try that.

Yeah, I think for now I'm gonna stop following the threads. I'll still check by Exiles Refuge occasionally

[up]Only real creative thing I do is WAAPT, and I've had so much writer's block the past couple months…

I'm guessing that a certain poster (whose name may or may not rhyme with "Quarry Feller") likes to keep this thread and the "Yack Fest" thread open in different tabs.

Actually I don't bother keeping Yack Fest open most of the time. The real problem is that I use a special script to post here, but sometimes I forget and tell it to post in the wrong thread on accident.

<—-Doesn't know what Mary Sue really is. Doesn't care anymore.

Anyone else like that?

Nowadays it mostly means "a character I don't like." The term has gotten pretty meaningless, and really always kind of was. It's supposed to be a term for an "objectively bad character" but in my opinion such a thing doesn't exist. I've seen numerous characters who fall perfectly into the Mary Sue standard and were actually great, well written characters.

@Sixth: I drop threads all the time, often just for a few days, especially if the thread gets on a derail that I have no interest in listening to (most notably the Gunnerkrigg Court thread).

I told her that she wouldn't just be gaining a husband, she'd be getting a great sister too.

..........I'm not sure what to make of this quote.

Yeah, that's a really weird way to propose.

portal to hell, mind rape, implied actual rape given the whole marriage thing, total and complete mental SHATTERING of a young girl (twilight), yeah totaly what people think of when they think MLP.

There's a Dresden Files short story that follows the series finale plot almost exactly. Amazingly though, the MLP version is more epic.

Well, Shiny knew that Cadenza and Twilight were great friends, and she is now Cadenza's sister-in-law. They were childhood friends, guys; it's not like Shiny went up to some random mare and was like 'hey, you'll really like my sister'.

Cadence was probably overjoyed to be related to Twilight. Twi's kinda like the little sister she (probably) never had.

Random question.

Has anyone here read/watched Monster?

I'm on chapter 120. I still need to get back to reading it, but I stopped months ago. I think I'm just put off by the thought of it having another disappointing ending, like 21st Century boys, which, up until the end, I thought was amazing.

I was thinking if it would work if a fantastic version of Johan Liebert is a major Season 3 antagonist. I'm just wondering, that's all.

I think he would be a bit too murdery for MLP.

I thought it was supposed to be a character that had undue importance in the story and was the Author's Pet. But now it's just 'any character I don't like''

He does have a villain face, but it would be cool if we had a villain who was more of a well-intentioned extremist than just evil.

This is my hope too. I would like to see the Crystal Emperor have the exact same goal as the Mane 6, but be using violent means to achieve it.

nope still as into ponies as ever. ok maybe a BIT less obssed but that' more a case of finding more things to do, plus getting sucked into an RP area that just really keep me glued and participating.
