It's a method of emoting, to represent different feels, u_u usually represents understanding, tiredness or sleep -_- usually represents annoyances, sarcasm, embarrassment, and possibly tiredness and ^_^ tends to represent cheer. It's a methodology primarily attributed to styles mostly seen in manga and anime.

By the way does anyone know why those aren't in the reaction repository? I tried looking through the repository, I tried searching the TV Tropes image list, but no luck. The only way I could find it was by doing a search of all posts for Sydexlia that contained -_- and then looking through them.

I'm not sure ATC gets it.
We used to have a poster here (gingerninja666) who used the "-_-" emoticon a lot. Whenever he used it, Syd would post that image in response.
