@ed Other way around. That's fan art for one of Pannic's fics in which Braeburn has an innate magic that turns stallions gay when in his presence. I have no idea how he thinks of these things.

I'm now reminded of how glorious it was when Hearts and Hooves day was first announced, and they managed to pick the one Big Mac pairing that no one had ever really shipped before to be the focus of it, followed by the massive fanon workarounds that people came up with when Caramel was given a girlfriend.

It's mainly that he made a bad first impression when he was basically crazy meeting the cast when they came off the train. I've known way too many people like that in real life who are enthusiastic about something and then expect you to share that enthusiasm. I know it's probably just me, but he kinda grated on me a bit.

The thing I remember most was how we formed a betting pool on whether Cheerilee and Big Mac would get together, and the ending was vague enough that nobody actually won.

@lurker: I think there was exactly one fic pre-Hearts and Hooves Day that featured that pair, though it was from a fairly prolific author.
