I'm still not so sure that that character from the upcoming quiz on Hasbro's Pony Wedding microsite will end up being a villain. The context is "Who should be the MC?" (not a question you'd think they'd use a villain for) and the other three choices are Princess Celestia, Zecora, and Chief Thunderhooves, none of whom are villains.

@What Well, it's not unusual for children's quizzes to have at least one obviously bogus answer. Though, a subversion of Obviously Evil would be hilarious and definitely cool.

Smile Smile Smile is definitely one of the better songs. In and of itself it's amazing, although I think in terms of the pacing of the episode it went on a bit longer than it needed to. It doesn't diminish the awesomeness of the song any, but I think that the time would have been better spent on Cranky and Pinkie.

I totally agree. The fact that episode displays such a blatant disregard for his personal space really annoyed me, especially since Pinkie should be able to tell, being everyone's friend and all.

@Perpetual: I'm actually really hoping that that pony turns out to be a good guy, and the show is doing a deliberate subversion.

Yeah, gotta agree with Chad. This show has never really descended into darkness beyond instances of peril and cartoon slapstick violence.

Also, waited too long, now it's irrelevant. Yeah, musical numbers. I like them. I'm particularly fond of the Smile song, both by how well it fits Pinkie's character and by how well it works mechanically as a musical number.
