So I seen Season 3 pics.... I knew season 3 would be darker compare the previous seasons, the third of something is always the darkest for some reason.

Maybe it's a drought. I dun see a whole lot of grim dark. House is border up and land's all spooky-barren. I don't foresee a foray into Darker and Edgier.

Also, finished chapter 18 of Fallout Equestria. Liveblog will follow. Largely consisted of Littlepip going out with Homage and then a big battle thing with Alicorns.

And she was phenomenally... not-twattish in this chapter. Actually fairly likable, really. Odd. I didn't find a lot in this chapter that actively annoyed me...

Well, chapter allows me to cross a couple items off of my "Things Littlepip Can Do to Not Be a Terrible Character" list, mainly:

Gain a sense of irony.
Demonstrate that she's interested in saving someone that isn't a girl.

Yeah, the only reason that I'm even remotely close to thinking those images might be "serious" (as opposed to stuff like the cottage in "Putting Your Hoof Down") is that they seem to be from the season finale, and those typically tackle more epic plots. I mean, run down Ponyville doesn't seem that much worse than Canterlot being overrun by changelings, or Ponyville getting literally torn apart by Discord.

We don't really know. The run down Ponyville shots are apparently from the finale, but I don't know why people are assuming they're from the same episodes as the Crystal Empire.

The Crystal Empire is going to be the basis of a season three episode, possibly the opener. This is based on a bunch of Crystal Empire toys that have come out, as well as a season three song that was released at Comic Con.

Or I'll just do it right now.

There was also an aerial view of what looked like it could only be the Crystal Empire capital from the fair song in that bunch, that's where we are getting the link.

And the CK is something that started with a specific line of toys they released that started rumors of it being a season 3 plot, and then confirmed when they released two spoiler songs from season 3 and one of them was about the Crystal kingdom. All we really know is it is in some way tied to to two characters introduced in the finale.

Sounds like a Myth Arc. I am more looking forward to see this season's finale.

I'm really loving Applebloom in this episode. First there is the most hilarious bad future vision, hilarious arm-flailing, and her slipping into accents.

There's also the fact that the amulet that Trixie is wearing in her picture matches the color scheme and style of the mystery villain from the website files that were also associated with the Crystal Kingdom/Empire.
