You know, in season 1, I don't think there was any episode that I liked prefectly. Almost all of them had something off or missing. Since I don't have clear memories on season 1, I cannot comment much.

Not really. Banks intentioanlyl avoid resistance in case someone gets hurt. Nowadays they just focus on minimizing the take and catching up with the perpato traitors soon afterwards. It's a high risk low reward crime but it's very easy to do. Even blind people can do it (and have).
Of course Equestrian banks don't have cameras or time release valuts. They're probably still in the 'wait for Mare Do Well' stage.

Actually, my main problem with Boast Busters is that it basically blames Trixie for the whole Ursa mess even though Snips and Snails are more directly to blame, and they got off really easy.
Well they were blamed in the end. The only reason they got off lightly was Equestria's genrally forgiving nature. (Also, they're kids).

Having just watched Hurricane Fluttershy again, I have to say it's probably one of my ffavorite S2 episodes. The almost sisterly relationship between Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash is just so cute :3

Also the Wonderbolts were called in to deal with Spike once. It's not clear if they have a real army, though the Pegasus Nation behaved as one in the distant past.
