@Orion: Hi, I'm looking up some other maps. Did you know some bronies have manage to map the interior of various houses in Ponyville just from episode footage alone? It's almost as hardcore as the Haruhi fans accurately mapping the layout of Nagato's apartment.

@Seraphem: That isn't exactly a new thing. I've read up about animators who do that regularly. In fact sometimes their artpieces of a character's room gets adapted into a background even. I bet Sibsy or Lauren have dioramas somewhere.
Also I admit to mapping out rooms for some old fictionwork I had before.

I've definitely mapped out locations for stuff I've written before. Having a solid setup makes it a lot less likely that you'll contradict yourself.

That isn't exactly a new thing. I've read up about animators who do that regularly.
It's the first time I've heard of it. Simpsons blatantly changes everything for the sake of the plot. remembers episode with the three mountains right outside of Springfield

@Story: It differs by show, obviously. Something like The Simpsons that runs on Negative Continuity obviously won't bother much.

It's the same with Ponyville, really. They keep adding in all these different things in town, but there are the few landmark buildings that just stay the same.

Funnily enough, the season 1 fan map had it to the west (and northwest).
