Conversation with my mom in the car the other day:
Me: "But FIM is different. It's made by people who care about the show, who
want to make a My Little Pony franchise that has appeal across the board, and not just to 5 year old girls."
Her: "But it's My Little Pony. It's not
supposed to be for anyone but 5 year old girls."
Me: (

What's worse is that my sister agreed with her.

It's like how I used to collect Pokemon cards in high school. The stigma, man...
Spooky.
My family is getting unknowingly exposed to the fandom by me playing brony music in their presence. If they finally realize that I'm a fan of the show, that might make it a little easier to get the fact that there's a huge fanbase for it across :P
Hi Twentington, I don't recall seeing you here before.

Hello Twentington, welcome to the thread. You been a fan for awhile or just getting into it? Or not a fan and just posting her for whatever reason?
Well, my dad said rude, uninformed things about the show, but at least he apologizes. Probably because he's desperate to keep me on his side.
ZABUNGAH
I don't really care what people think, I just enjoy my ponies :V
I'm pretty much the same as Ace (though I know my dad would give me hell if he found out :P)
My mom just thinks it's weird.
Well my family hasn't been hostile, though they were sometimes a bit misinformed, like not knowing the difference between G3 and
Fi M.

Bluespade: I've been a fan for a while now, but just didn't post in this thread because of its sheer size.

Well hopefully you'll feel at home here. Things are a lot quieter than they used to be but there's still lots to discuss.
