My family is getting unknowingly exposed to the fandom by me playing brony music in their presence. If they finally realize that I'm a fan of the show, that might make it a little easier to get the fact that there's a huge fanbase for it across :P

You know what I still wonder about? Where the heck did those {Ovbiously untrue} rumors of Season Two having reccuring villains come from?

having seen that point during my archiving, i think what happened was a mention of season 2 having multiple villains somehow morphed into having recurring villains

stigma? I collected pokemon cards in hs too, except red/blue had just come out so it was the cool thing to do and everyone was doing it.

Eh, My parents are perfectly okay with me being a brony. It does sadden me when I hear of other brony's who arn't so lucky though. Especially depending on just how bad the situation is for any of them.
