Actually, I quite like the more on-topic tack this thread has taken. When it derails not everyone can participate, but when it's more related to the show people can put their two cents in easier. I miss some of the anarchy, but we're still having consistent conversations throughout the day, so it's not that bad.

@Ed: I have to agree. It's nice being able to drop in at random and actually see discussion about the show rather than about Korra or posting in German or whatever.

He might be able to eat cardboard, but I'm not sure. It would depend on whether or not he actually can eat paper or just send messages with his fire breath. He definitely seems to be able to eat things that the ponies can't, even aside from his love of gemstones (like with the baked bads).

@Applelight: It probably depends on the cake, I think I've heard of some where the support pillars are edible too but in other cases they might be plastic or cardboard or some other non-food material.

I agree. I always kind of felt bad about the derails, even when I was participating in them. I'd still like there to be a thread where we could just talk about whatever though, I'm dying to say something about Bastion atm. Actually, there is, the Trash Heap in Yack Fest is an anything goes chat thread pretty much, and though it used to be very active it's gotten really dead since most of it's members left the site a few months ago. I used to post there all the time. If anyone else is interested we could start posting there when we want to go all-out off topic on something.

It probably would be best to move the sockpuppets' shenanigans to the Yack Fest thread; the Subforum Specific Guidelines

seem to say that sockpuppets are only supposed to be used in Yack Fest and Forum Games, though seeing as those are not-rules-but-strongly-encouraged, perhaps the sockpuppets could post here when they're talking about on-topic stuff?
