Not so much the huge tracts of land.

The first time we built Ponyville it got flattened by bunnies. The second time it got crushed by an Ursa Minor. The third time it got eaten by parasprites. The fourth time, it got struck by lightning, then fell over, and then destroyed by a tentacle monster. We need all the land we can get.

If we could get the Machines to make an Equestria Matrix, that would be the Best. Possible. Thing. :D

Ponies don't seem to take to extreme climates as much as humans though. Need more desert and jungle and polar pony tribes.

If Pinkie was the One, I'm surprised the Equestrian Matrix hasn't cascade overflowed yet

Polar ponies would need some means to grow plants in the freezing climate, or they'd have to get used to seaweed and lichen.

They brushie the yaks, and collect the loose hairs and use them to make their parkas.

That reminds me, the Fire Ruby looks like a smaller inferior-grade Heartstone, rather like the one that became the centrepiece of Flutter Valley's climate control.
