Yeah, me and one of my friends managed to get one of our other friends to watch it by starting him off with the fandom jokes we knew would appeal to him and then got him to watch a few episodes. He is now hooked.

Rabid anything are annoying. I was annoyed by rabid Homestucks before I got into the webcomic. As far as I can tell, the only reason anyone knows about rabid bronies is because there's such a large population of non-rabid bronies to begin with.

I dont have any RL friends that I think would enjoy MLP.

I do have an internet friend who I got to watch both seasons in full, I invited her to one of our Synchtube sessions and it was enough to pique her interest.

I've not tried to get anybody to watch the show. Nor do I know anyone offline that's a fan. All I can say is that my friends are aware that it exists.

At least on YouTube, I've seen more of the pony comments on unrelated videos being from haters, declaring it ruined by bronies, blah blah blah, just because of popular ponified versions

As for real life brony friends, I got lucky. One of my friends was a brony, and since the memes from the show matched our sense of humor really well we're able to try to spread it. Like Derpy. We're totally the type of guys who would pick some random bystander and create a whole character out of it.

That's why it endlessly amused me that time that troll dropped in here a while back and nobody so much as acknowledged his existence. All the posts are thumped now, but if you go back and look at it, you can see that nobody even bother to dignify it with a response.

I remember that. Most of the replies were basically "Oh, so you don't like it? Uh, okay." Failed troll attempts are so much funnier than successful ones.

I wonder if the pony keyboards are a variation of what court Stenographers use? It has a specialized keyboard with a limited number of keys and is used to take shorthand notes of court proceedings as they occur. I wonder if they even use them anymore though, with the ability to digitally record everything nowadays?
